INVISTA Joins Healthcare Plastics Recycling Council

The Healthcare Plastics Recycling Council (HPRC) is pleased to welcome INVISTA’s polypropylene business as a new member.

“The INVISTA polypropylene team has more than 40 years of experience developing and testing polymers for diagnostic, pharmaceutical and healthcare uses,” shared Peylina Chus, Executive Director of HPRC. “This depth of knowledge as well as INVISTA’s dedication to their Stewardship Framework will make them a valued member of HPRC.”

INVISTA has a strong history of striving to operate in the best interest of people, communities, and the environment in which it operates around the globe. This includes using resources efficiently and maintaining safe and sustainable practices. INVISTA Polypropylene has been recognized by numerous environmental, health and safety organizations for its strong performance.

“We believe HPRC’s membership expectations align well with Principle Based Management™, our business framework that encourages preferred partnerships and mutual benefit to create long-term value for customers and society,” said Julie Pippitt, Senior Director of Business Development and Sustainability.

HPRC is currently engaged in multiple initiatives aimed at enabling the recycling and circularity of healthcare plastics, including research into advanced recycling technologies to recycle mixed-stream healthcare plastics and a study of reverse logistics processes for collecting, segregating, and preparing healthcare plastic waste for transport.
